I had a great time using this bait, I found a pack of Chompers Baits at the Olathe BassPro Store in Kansas it was a hard to choose the color since they had all the hot colors of sinkos style baits I use all the time, anyhow I took these out to my local lake up north near the Kansas City airport. Weatherby Lake is known for its clear water.
The sky was cloudy and it had just stopped raining from storms that passed through the area that morning starting around 12am.
I fished this bait all morning using a Mustad ULTRA LOCK LIGHT WIRE: Soft Plastics Hook #38106R and 8lb Vicious Fishing Ultimate Fishing Line using a medium action St Croix Rod. I pulled in about 8 nice size largemouth bass as well a ton of sunfish, I setup the bait with no weight texas rigged and did well, then I wacky rigged it and caught a few more. We found most of the bass up against the walls in the shallows about 2ft or less. We got off the water around 9:30am and started fishing around 6am and we had a great time. I plan to pick up a few other colors and will keep you posted on how it went.
